IAGOC is ready for social Asian Games

 

The 2014 Incheon Asian Games pursues to run social Asian Games, considering that social media is becoming a main trend of public relations and marketing as the usage of smart phones and wi-fi have widely been spreading. President Kim Young-soo of the Incheon Asian Games Organizing Committee (IAGOC) stated that the 2014 Asian Games will be remembered as the social Asian Games for the first time in history.

 

The IAGOC promotes public relations and marketing through social media which utilizes state-of-the-art technology and operates SNS channels in 11 languages, including Korean, English, and Chinese.

 

The IAGOC operates IAG crew targeting 45 countries of the Olympic Council of Asia to build social communications for the Incheon Asian Games and bring more than 200 million participants by developing “Smart Torch Relay”, which is the application for the torch relay of the 2014 Incheon Asian Games online.

 

General Manager Jang Soo-hwan of Online PR team of the IAGOC stated that the 2014 Incheon Asian Games can become the social Asian Games for the first time in Asian Games history with people’s participation, empathy and communication. He urged the public to install the application of the smart torch relay and join the historical moment by lighting the torch online at the same time as the light of the 2014 Incheon Asian Games will be lit at the opening ceremony on September 19.
