    • Highlights : All of Oman's four Asian Games medals have come in the sprint disciplines of athletics.

      Mohammed Al Malki won Oman's first medal when he claimed a bronze in the men's 400m, and cemented his place in Omani sporting history by winning gold four years later in the same event.

      Since Al Malki's achievements, Oman have added two bronze medals to its collection - in the men's 4x100m relay in 1998, and Barakat Al-Harthi's third place in the men's 100m in 2010.
