  • General interest
    • Highlights : After competing in the first two editions of the Asian Games, Nepal had a 32-year hiatus from the event. Since returning in 1986, Nepal has been ever-present at the Asian Games. Nepal has never won a gold medal, but has claimed one silver and 21 bronze medals.

      Of its 22 medals, 14 have been won in taekwondo, and Nepal's only multi-medallist, Deepak Bista, competed in the sport.

      Nepal's one silver medal was won by taekwondo athlete Sabita Rajbhandari, who claimed second place in the women's featherweight division in 1998.
