  • General interest
    • Highlights : Mongolia has won at least one gold medal at every edition of the Asian Games in which it has participated. The country has won 10 of its 15 gold medals in freestyle wrestling.

      Mongolia won its most gold medals in a single edition in 1982, when it claimed three gold medals to finish ninth on the medal table. As well as two golds in freestyle wrestling, Mongolia triumphed in the 50m rifle prone team event.

      Four years ago Mongolia won two gold medals, both in freestyle wrestling. Mandakhnaran Ganzorig triumphed in the men's 60kg category, and Naranchimeg Gelegjamts won the women's 72kg division.
