  • General interest
    • Highlights : Laos won its first Asian Games medal in 1990, when boxer Vongkot Chinda won a bronze medal in the men's lightweight division.

      Since Chinda's bronze, Laos has won six medals, all of them in wushu, and two Laos athletes have won more than one medal. Phouk Khamsounthonewon consecutive bronze medals in the -52kg category at the 1998 and 2002 Games, and Phoxay Aphaylath won a silver and a bronze medal in the -56kg category in 2006 and 2010 respectively.
