  • General interest
    • Highlights : After making its debut in 1954, Hong Kong, China won its first Asian Games gold medal in its seventh appearance at the Asian Games, when ten pin bowler Kuk Hung Che won the women's singles competition in 1986.

      Hong Kong, China recorded a best-ever haul of 40 medals, including a record eight gold, at the 2010 Games.

      Between 1998 and 2010 two men won three gold medals each, and six medals each overall, to become Hong Kong, China's most successful athletes in Asian Games history. Snooker player Marco Fu won two team golds in 1998 and 2002 before capturing the men's singles title in 2010, and cyclist Kam-Po Wong won the road race three times as well as picking up medals on the track.
