Reason for taking up this sport
His father bought him a shotgun so he would be able to use the best equipment. However, his father then encouraged him to pursue a different career as he was spending so much time shooting. Almudhaf told his father if he did not qualify for the 2000 Olympic Games in Sydney, he would quit competing. When his father saw the resolve of Almudhaf, he changed his mind and told him to follow his dream. (menspassion-online.com, 01 May 2009)

Sporting philosophy / motto
"Many competitors are too smart for their own good, you really have to be a little crazy. Smart people get distracted by all the technical variables involved in shooting, always changing their style or equipment. This is not good, it is much simpler than that."
