EARLY DAYS
He was going to stop wrestling after winning the All Japan Student Championships in 2008. He competed at the 2008 All Japan Wrestling Championships with the intention of it being his last competition. But thanks to good results in the competition, he became eligible to enter the Nippon Sport Science University, where he could continue to train alongside his studies.
