TSUNAMI SURVIVOUR
He survived the tsunami that killed over 200,000 people in 14 countries following the 2004 Indian Ocean earthquake. He was training for a domestic match with teammates in his hometown of Galle, Sri Lanka, and sought shelter in an elevated dressing room. "We saw the tsunami coming. It was a very high wave, coming very fast. It was very scary. We went into the dressing room. Buses and cars were all over the ground. When I went home, family members hugged and kissed me.
